Gobbler's Knob

Wasatch Mountains
Big Cottonwood Canyon
Millcreek Canyon

We went from Alexander Basin in Millcreek Canyon over Gobbler's Knob 10,246, to Mount Raymond 10,241' and down Mill B North Fork which took us to the S Curve in Big Cottonwood Canyon.

We dropped off the car in Big Cottonwood Canyon. On the way up, there was a road block by the police.
We dropped off a car by the S-Curve and then drove Ruojia's car into Millcreek Canyon. A little over eight miles up Millcreek Canyon is the Alexander Basin turnout. This trail is the fastest to Gobbler's Knob. It only took us about 1:45 to get to the top, and we stopped for 15 minutes along the way.

Mount Aire from Gobbler's Knob. Mount Aire is included with Millcreek Ridge
but it looks like it has it's own ridge.

Hiking towards Mount Raymond. Going down from the second Peak of Gobbler's Knob.

I think this is a kind of American Painted Lady butterfly.

See views of Mount Raymond, done later that same day.

Special Thanks to Jared, Denyse, Ruojia, and Rick
