Juliana came back from
the Surfing Competition and took me on a nice 4 hour hike
from Pântano do Sul to Lagoinha do Leste then to Praia Matadeiro
and then we walked all the way back home.
It was a steep hike, My old creaky knees made sure that I knew the grampification
has begun.

Ilha Irma de Fora (Outside Sister Island)

We don't have plants with this type of veination in the US.

Juliana told me she broke her arm climbing on this pointy protrusion.
It looks like the mountain is giving the wind and sea the "bird",
for all the errosion they have caused.

New seeds ready for the birds to take to new places.

Ponta da Felicidade

Ponta da Felicidade

The water was fiercely bashing into the rocks.

Ponta da Felicidade

I felt like I was in The Land of the Lost.

After dark, if you touch this plant, the leaves fold up.

Granite faces that have withstood the ages.

This lichen had fernlike hairs growing all over it.

It says "GNOSIS", which is old english for "wisdom"
or "knowlege".
It's also a ancient secret religion which is based on alchemy, astrology,
numerology, symbolism etc.
It was kind of profound to see this written here.
Gnostics are people who believe in a type of spiritual science, that
relies on earthly knowlege.
Agnostics are people who don't know what to believe, so they follow
no one.
Most Agnostics don't even know what "Agnostic" really means.

Not quite as deep as the other message, "XUPE ROLA", which
means "SUCK DICK".

Looking east toward over the Atlantic Ocean towards Ilha Moleques do
Sul in the far distance.

Lagoinha do Leste - Ponta da Lagoinha

Not yet Mr. Urubu, no one's dying here today.
The vultures were always keeping an eye on us.

Lagoinha do Leste (Little Lake of the East)

Lagoinha do Leste
The lake on the right is the "Little Lake", where this place
gets its name.

My knees were shot, this was a good place to take a break.

This diving board shook when you moved on it. Don't worry, it's only
a 500 foot drop below.
